The Office of Business Services is comprised of the following areas:
Policy Office
The Policy Office acts as the steward of all system-wide business and finance policies issued by the Office of the Vice President, CFO and Comptroller. Additional policies that are more restrictive may be issued by each individual university. The Policy Office focuses on:
- drafting and updating system-wide business and finance policies.
- maintaining system-wide business and finance policies, including performing annual and biannual reviews of policies to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutes, laws, and other governing rules.
- sharing information about business and finance policies with university and System Office units.
- serving as a resource to other units on policy topics and development.

University Bursar provides Student Accounts Receivable and General Accounts Receivable services to support the research, teaching, public-service and economic development missions of the University of Illinois System. By ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, University Bursar provides best in class service to over 94,000 students.
University Bursar website provides up to date resources for student to navigate billing and financial services. Resources include student account billing information, making payments, payment plans, enrolling in direct deposit and other important student account information.

The University Contract Records Office (UCRO) acts as the official repository for all University of Illinois System contracts and files contracts and contract data, in accordance with state statute, with the Illinois Secretary of State and the Illinois Office of the Comptroller. UCRO provides assistance to units at all three universities, as well as System Office units on a variety of issues including, importing/recording fully executed electronic and paper contracts in Contracts+, requests for information for copies of contracts and/or contract data and oversight and maintenance of fully executed contract records in Contracts+, including updates to contract metadata, as needed.

University Outreach
The Office of University Outreach focuses on education and outreach, assisting university and System Office units with operationalizing their strategic initiatives, and serving as a business and compliance advisor to our customers. University Outreach manages and delivers:
- The New Business and Finance Employee Orientation Program
- Business and Finance Group Meetings
- Business and Finance Advisory Group Meetings
- Chrome River Customer Advisory Committee Meetings
